		<description>Except for the dying mother part, I seem to have met more than my fair share of similar families.  Perhaps they&#039;re all over here in the States, eh?

Some of Patterson&#039;s books are quite good, and some are really awful.  The Alex Cross books are mostly good.</description>

		<description>I never got into this one, found the main character&#039;s personal life far too incredulous. This is the only James Patterson I&#039;ve read, and it turned me off reading anymore to be honest.

Each to their own though. Plenty people seem to like the man&#039;s books, and he shows no signs that he&#039;s going to stop churning them out. So more power to the Patterson fans.</description>
