Skipping the third book in the series and moving right along to the fourth (sometimes the books just aren’t available at Booksfree and they send me what they have)… we find Joanne human once again and living in Florida. With a “real” job. And her dysfunctional sister has come to visit. The Djinn are having a bit of a revolt and Mother Nature is seriously disturbed about something.

I am not moving to Florida until they get a Weather Warden down there who can handle the job.

A number of books have been read over the holidays! It’s kind of relaxing to have plenty of time, but not seem to have the time to fiddle around on the computer.

So, Rachel Caine’s Heat Stroke is the first book I finished. She’s got quite an interesting way of explaining all the crap weather that seems to plague us. And who can resist stories that involve Djinn? Not me, that’s for sure. In a previous installment, our intrepid hero manages to get herself killed. This one is all about her life as a Djinn. Ok, maybe it sounds silly… but it’s not! Read it. You’ll like it.

I’m back to reading some good old science fiction/fantasy! This one caught my eye while browsing through titles on Booksfree. I’m glad I put it in my queue. Rachel Caine tells a good story, and the fantasy aspect of the story was a nice break from the mystery thrillers I’ve been reading lately. There are at least three more books in this series… all of which are in my Booksfree queue.
